Natan Elkanovich was born in Moldova, former USSR, in 1966. Since 1976 he resides and creates in Israel. Natan holds a Bachelor of Design Degree in Fashion Design from Shenkar College of Engineering & Design.

Since 1995, Natan works as a senior costume designer in the Israeli cinema and television industry. To date, has been awarded four Israeli Academy Awards, for best costume design.

Ever since painting had become an integral part of his life, Natan began developing his unique painting technique.  He mixes different kinds of plastic materials such silicon and acrylic in various quantities, and sprinkle them on the canvas. Thus creating a 3-D texture to his work.  Sometimes, he adds Swarovski elements and a selection of glitters for the finishing touch. Natan’s technique is 100% hand made with no machinery involved.
